At the peak of President Goodluck Jonathan’s speech at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) zonal rally in Owerri, the Imo State capital, yesterday, there was power outage at the venue.
Consequently, his speech was no longer heard by the audience and he stopped briefly for power supply to be restored.

the Bayelsa-born president said, “Thank God we are back; no demon shall stop us.”
Some PDP members at the rally expressed
delight at the development, saying “since it
has happened to the president, he will know
what we pass through and do something fast”.
Recall that the president (then acting president), promised to continue
implementing policy framework of the
administration as started by then President
Umaru Musa Yar’adua. This was in 2010 when President Jonathan along with the swearing in of new ministers of his cabinet presented the Second (7) Point Agenda which he vowed his administration would pursue. It is now four (4) years and stable power supply which was part of the agenda has not been achieved.

However, tomorrow, GEJ, as he is usually called will respond to questions from a panel of journalists and media executives on current national issues and developments in another edition of the Presidential Media Chat.
Reuben Abati, Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity), explained that the chat will be broadcast live on Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) and the Voice of Nigeria (VON) at 7pm, tomorrow.
